Keno Tactics That Win

It may not often be looked at as the funnest game in the world of betting, but keno has massive amounts of fanatical admirers. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a always exciting lotto-style game that’s easy to play, abundantly available in several assorted styles, and one that might return millions of dollars for players who learn its uncounted subtle rules. But let’s start with the basic rules for now.

When explaining keno to amateurs, some wagering masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least in some ways correct, in that both games are generally numerical. However, to take that comparison too far can be to belittle the many unique aspect that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno users have the freedom to pick the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a grand total of eighty numbers, but the player is furnished with an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to determine as many (or as few) numbers as he wants. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your picked numbers with a good oldpen like you had when you were in grade 3.

Once you have checked your numbers, carry your card back to the person at the keno booth. The person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Make sure no to lose this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning slip in hand, you will be given exactly $.00 for your actions.

Ok, there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s move on to something a little more complex, shall we?

Once you’ve selected your numbers, settle into a nice keno booth and watch the action take place on the video monitor. That is where the winning numbers are shown for all to see. If you checked winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Be sure not to dilly dally, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You really want to get up to the keno booth to redeem your winnings, and a new drawing will certainly begin within a few minutes.

Strategy number 2: always go back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you can not trust yourself to beat that five-minute deadline every time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from two to twenty cards. When the max number of rounds (fitting the amount of tickets) is played out, you are then able to get off your numb butt and go collect your winnings.

Another alternative is referred to as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally lets you make number selection for thirty rounds or more. Hell, you can take vacation to France and not have to worry about getting back in time to collect your numbers. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after purchase!

So now you know a number of necessary techniques for winning keno. If you are an accomplished user, they may appear to be stupidly obvious. But it won’t hurt to brush up on the basic methods, and if you are a novice gambler, every little bit of information will help make your keno betting more exciting.
